Welcome to the website of the Choirakademie Hamburg!

It is our concern to inspire young people and the young at heart to sing, to strengthen the social competence of the choir singers, to set musical and pedagogical impulses to enable an exchange of repertoire with other choirs. In the best sense of the word, choirs are to be understood as an advertising medium for singing in general. Various cooperations with other choirs, orchestras and conductors as well as concert tours complement and enrich our choir work.

We would like to invite you to get to know our team and to accompany our work. All choirs of the Chorakademie are organized by the Association of German Concert Choirs VDKC.

Cantemus means: “let us sing”, and singing should be moving and lively, this is meant by the term “Musica Viva”. The ensembles face this challenge and would like to arouse your interest through their choir work.
